 Lady who raised alarm over bread that stayed fresh for 2 months detained and released from police custody  A Nigerian lady, Love Doohima, who recently went viral for raising concerns about a loaf of bread that remained fresh after two months was on Monday, April 20, detained at the Zone 2 police station but was released in the early hours of today April 21. There were concern on social media on Monday after reports emerged that she had been arrested and detained. In a post shared on X, human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, confirmed she was detained by the police but was released in the early hours of today after much deliberations. Last week, Love revealed that she had been hit with a N50 million lawsuit from a bread company, despite the fact that she did not mention any brand name in her video. PDP Mourns, Extols Senator Okoro
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed sadness over the death of one of its chieftain and member of its Board of Trustees, Senator Fidelis Okoro.
Senator Okoro’s death is indeed a huge national loss given his unalloyed dedication, commitment and relentless sacrifices towards the unity, development and stability of our dear nation, Nigeria.
Senator Okoro was a seasoned politician, a quintessential democrat and excellent parliamentarian, who played key roles in the development of our democracy.
In the Senate, Senator Okoro’s contributions as the Chairman of Senate Committee on Industries as well as member of Senate committees on Police Affairs, Agriculture and Niger Delta in the fourth Senate, were pivotal in ensuring good governance, accountability and prudence in those sectors of our national life under the PDP administration.
Senator Okoro was an exceptionally committed member of the Board of Trustees of our great party and remained dedicated to the ideal of the PDP and the visions of our founding fathers to the end.
The PDP commiserates with the Governor of Enugu State, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Okoro family, the PDP family in Enugu State, his Nsukka kindred, as well as the government and people of Enugu state and prays God to grant them all the fortitude the bear this irreparable loss.
