 Driver hospitalized after debris falls from Cross Bronx Expressway during morning rush hour   One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after debris fell from the Cross Bronx Expressway onto a vehicle during the rush-hour commute. The incident happened around 8 a.m. when material came down from the ceiling over a westbound lane of the expressway near the lower-level approach to the George Washington Bridge. Emergency responders transported the driver to a nearby hospital, where the person was expected to survive, according to fire officials. Westbound lanes were shut down for much of the day as crews worked to secure and repair the damaged section of the roadway. It was the second debris-related incident on the Cross Bronx Expressway within a week. In the earlier case, dashcam footage captured a large piece of concrete falling from an underpass in front of a vehicle, forcing the car to be towed after sustaining significant damage. The President joins family members, friends and associates of Chief Folashade Diya, particularly members of the United African Methodist (Evangelical) Church, in mourning the devout Christian, who dedicated her time on earth to serving God, and working for the good of others.
President Buhari affirms that the wife of the former Chief of General Staff lived to encourage and inspire many on faith in God, demonstrating love, kindness and generosity through focus on helping the underprivileged, and counselling many.
The President prays that the soul of the departed will find rest in God.
