OVER 25 MILLION PHONES STOLEN IN ONE YEAR- FG. (PHOTO).

 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. A YOUNG MAN WAS STABBED TO NEAR DEATH THIS MORNING ALONG OWERRI-ONITSHA ROAD BECAUSE OF A COMMERCIAL SEX WORKER.{PHOTOS}.

       A young man was stabbed to near death this morning along Owerri - Onitsha road, in Imo state. All the because of an alleged commercial sex worker.
According to the passengers they boarded a bus with, argument started inside a bus conveying them and other passengers to Onitsha between two young men over the girl (pictured below)
The guy who was stabbed is related to the girl according to the passengers. He met the girl in the bus with the other guy who was taking her to his place in Onitsha and since he knows the girl, he ordered her not to go with the guy. That was when arguments broke out. They started dragging the girl and in the process, the strange guy who was taking the girl home pulled out a penknife from his pocket and stabbed the other guy who is said to be related to the girl.

Right there, the stabber was held up by male passengers and policemen were contacted immediately from the nearby police station to arrest him.
Currently, the stabber is cooling off at Ogbaku police station while the stabbed was rushed to the hospital for treatment.More photos below.
