 Maduro, Celia Flores allowed to use Venezuelan government funds for attorneys, ending legal standoff Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Celia Flores will be allowed to use funds from the Venezuelan government to pay their attorneys, resolving a monthlong dispute over legal financing under U.S. sanctions. In a joint filing submitted Friday night, federal prosecutors and defense attorneys informed the court that the Department of the Treasury would amend a sanctions license to permit payments to the couple’s lawyers without violating existing restrictions. The arrangement includes strict conditions, including that any funds used must have become available after March 5, 2026, and cannot come from restricted foreign government deposit accounts. Prosecutors said the updated authorization resolves the funding dispute that had prompted the defense to seek dismissal of the case, and the defense has since withdrawn those motions without prejudice. ANAMBRA: POLICE OPERATIVES RECOVER A STOLEN VEHICLE AND ARRESTED THREE SUSPECT.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On the 9/6/ 2020 Police operatives attached to 'B' Division Awka arrested one Chukwujekwu Igiri 'm' aged 21years, who resided at Mgbajiaka, behind Amenyi Girls' Secondary School Awka.
Suspect allegedly disappeared to an unknown destination with a newly purchased hijet cargo shuttle bus, and Ofiaku bread, worth fifty thousand naira {#50,000}, property of one Uchenna Okeke 'm', the Director of Ofiaku Restaurant Awka.
Meanwhile, the vehicle was recovered at Umuegara Ezzamgbo, in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State, hometown of the suspect, where the Ofiaku brand name written all over the body of the vehicle removed.
Suspect was about selling the stolen bus at the rate of two hundred thousand naira {#200,000}, through his accomplices, but who were equally arrested namely;
- Maduabuchi Michael 'm' aged 22 years of Amechi Ezzamgbo and
- Chukwudi Ogeh 'm' aged 22 years of Amechi Ezzamgbo Ebonyi State
Consequently, the recovered vehicle have been registered as exhibit and the three suspects arrested and brought to Awka.
The suspects would be charged to Court at the conclusion of investigations, please.
