 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.      On the 29/5/2020 at about 10:30am,along Oba-Nnewi old Road,a Mitsubishi L300 bus with REG.NO AFZ 71 XA driven by one Sunday Igwe 'm' of No:24 Ikwo street Ugwuagba Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State loss control and knocked down a middle aged man whose identity is not yet known.As a result,victim became unconscious.
Police operatives attached to Oba Division visited the scene and rushed victim to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty.Corpse deposited at the gateway mortuary for postmortem Examination and preservation.
Meanwhile,the driver was arrested and obstruction cleared to enable free flow of traffic in the area.
However,efforts to locate the relatives of the victim proved abortive since the date of the accident.In view of the foregoing,the Command urged the public whose relations got missing and matched above description to report at Oba Police Station for possible identification and claim of the victim please.
