  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. FATAL MOTOR/PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT CLAIMED THE LIFE OF A MIDDLE AGED MAN WHOSE IDENTITY IS YET TO BE ASCERTAINED.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE

     On the 29/5/2020 at about 10:30am,along Oba-Nnewi old Road,a Mitsubishi L300 bus with REG.NO AFZ 71 XA driven by one Sunday Igwe 'm' of No:24 Ikwo street Ugwuagba Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State loss control and knocked down a middle aged man whose identity is not yet known.As a result,victim became unconscious.
Police operatives attached to Oba Division visited the scene and rushed victim to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty.Corpse deposited at the gateway mortuary for postmortem Examination and preservation.
Meanwhile,the driver was arrested and obstruction cleared to enable free flow of traffic in the area.
However,efforts to locate the relatives of the victim proved abortive since the date of the accident.In view of the foregoing,the Command urged the public whose relations got missing and matched above description to report at Oba Police Station for possible identification and claim of the victim please.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
