 NSITF WANTS DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION TO ALSO IMPACT ON WORKERS' SOCIAL PROTECTION IN AFRICA The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund has urged African businesses adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) to link digital transformation directly with worker welfare and social protection. Speaking at the launch of a free Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) AI Master Training Programme at the UN House in Abuja, NSITF Managing Director, Oluwaseun Faleye, emphasized that technology alone cannot guarantee business resilience if workforce safety is neglected. The training programme, spearheaded by the ECOWAS Small Business Coalition alongside InnoPower LLC and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aims to equip regional Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with AI skills for production, marketing, and cross-border trade.

*FIRE INCIDENT AVERTED AT THE ROYAL CARE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL AND UROLOGY CENTRE AWKA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE

      On the 5/6/2020 at about 9:15am, following a distress call from one Dr Uzoma Mbaeri 'm', the Medical Director of Royal Care Specialist Hospital and Urology Centre Awka, police patrol team led by the DPO 'B' Division Awka, CSP Emma Ogbuanya, quickly responded to the scene located at Plot 129 Chief Larry Ekwunife lane, off Abakaliki Street Awka.
The scene was cordoned off and Fire fighters were informed promptly. The fire was confined to the generator room where it emanated and eventually put off before it escalates.
Meanwhile,Five generators as well as the roof housing the generator were affected but no life loss and no injury sustained.Investigation is ongoing to ascertain the actual cause of the fire incident.
