 Flu outbreak hits Air Force basic training in Texas after vaccine mandate lifted, with 159 cases reported among recruits    A flu outbreak is affecting Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, with at least 159 confirmed cases and two hospitalizations reported among recruits as health officials respond to a cluster of infections at Joint Base San Antonio. The outbreak developed over the past several weeks and has prompted medical staff to isolate symptomatic trainees, treat cases, and monitor those who were in close contact with infected individuals. Officials said additional cases and hospitalizations are still being assessed. An Air Force spokesperson confirmed the situation, describing it as a localized influenza outbreak within the basic military training program.       On the 5/6/2020 at about 9:15am, following a distress call from one Dr Uzoma Mbaeri 'm', the Medical Director of Royal Care Specialist Hospital and Urology Centre Awka, police patrol team led by the DPO 'B' Division Awka, CSP Emma Ogbuanya, quickly responded to the scene located at Plot 129 Chief Larry Ekwunife lane, off Abakaliki Street Awka.
The scene was cordoned off and Fire fighters were informed promptly. The fire was confined to the generator room where it emanated and eventually put off before it escalates.
Meanwhile,Five generators as well as the roof housing the generator were affected but no life loss and no injury sustained.Investigation is ongoing to ascertain the actual cause of the fire incident.
