   Rivers State Police Arrest 'Veryblackman' Over Alleged Death Threats to Comedian DeeOne The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the controversial social media personality widely known as "Veryblackman" (also identified as Veryblackman of Port Harcourt or VeryDarkMan’s brother) following allegations that he threatened the life of Nigerian comedian and reality television star, DeeOne. The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday after he reportedly ignored prior invitations from law enforcement. Following his arrest in Rivers State, he was immediately transferred to Lagos on Sunday to face further questioning and investigation. The Origin of the Threat The feud between the two online figures reached a boiling point in June 2026, when Veryblackman allegedly threatened to kill DeeOne.      The 63-year-old Ondo state governor ' Rotimi Akeredolu' announced this at a press conference in Akure, the state capital today June 30.
He said...
''I had malaria a few days ago and was treated. I did get over it and as at the time we had our party NEC and my colleagues called on me, I spoke with one of them who felt that malaria shouldn't be treated lightly but that I should go ahead and have a test for COVID-19.
The result come out today June 30 and I tested positive.
I am a symptomatic. I am not feeling sick nor feeling hot in anyway but my doctors have decided I should take the normal treatment and self isolate. I believe that supervised home management will be ideal for me for now and so from now I will be isolated and go on with the supervised home management''
Ondo state currently has 276 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
