 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. POLICE NAB A 24 YEARS OLD HABITUAL OFFENDER WHO ALLEGEDLY STOLE A TRICYCLE KEKE IN AWKA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    *Recover the tricycle in his possesion*
On the 20/6/2020 at about 6:30am,following a tip off Police operatives attached to the Command public complaint and Anti piracy unit (APPCAP) arrested one Chibuzor Nwachukwu Emmanuel ‘m' aged 24 years of Okpuno Okochi ime in Awka South LGA of Anambra State.
Suspect who was an habitual offender jumped over the fence and allegedly stole a tricycle KEKE belonging to one Okafor Chukwunonso Kelvin 'm' of ikolo house Umudioka inside his compound.
Meanwhile,suspect has confessed voluntarily and exhibit was recovered in his possession.Investigation is still ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book.
Consequently,the Command enjoined vehicle and tricycle owners to install tracking or other security devices in order to secure their property from the vehicles and tricycle stealing syndicates.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
