 UNACCEPTABLE – GOV. ALIA BLASTS MBALOM KILLINGS, ASSURES JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS  Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has condemned the latest attack on Mbalom community in Gwer East Local Government Area, describing it as barbaric and unacceptable, while assuring residents of intensified efforts to protect lives and property. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor reacted to reports of an assault by suspected armed herdsmen on the community, an incident that adds to recurring security concerns in parts of the state. Alia said the attack represents a direct threat to the peace and security of Benue, noting a disturbing pattern of what he described as calculated and selective assaults. He expressed sympathy to affected families and reiterated his administration’s resolve to confront criminal elements.      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Port Harcourt's zonal office on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 arraigned one Onwuzuruike Ikenna Kingsley (aka Jeff Sikora), a self-styled President/ Chief Executive Officer of United States-based Prime Trust Credit Union Bank before Justice A.T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on an eight count charge bordering on conspiracy, impersonation, forgery, possession of proceeds and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of Eight Million, Five Hundred and Two Thousand Dollars ($8,502,000.00).

The offence contravenes Section 1 (1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
