  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. Eid el Kabir: Gov Bello Matawalle sets homes ready for joyful celebration with 993 Cattle and 5665 Rams


This year’s Eid el Kabir celebration will be one like never before in Zamfara state. On July the 27th the Executive Governor of Zamfara state had distributed a total of 993 cattle and 5665 rams an unprecedented support to the people for Eid el Kabir.

The Eid el Kabir ceremony, a yearly celebration of the Islamic religion to commemorate God's intervention and show of affection to Abraham, when he replaced His son Isaac with a sheep, has remained a high point celebration to Muslims who use that day to honour God by demonstrating that Love.


The Celebration has become a yearly occasion of joy for all faithful Muslims all over the world, who use the occasion, to share gift and show love to loved once.
His Excellency Dr. Bello Matawalle, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State thus became the first Governor in the history of Zamfara State to extend his hand of love and friendship to the good and peaceful people of his state, when he distributed the 993 Cattle and 5665 Rams on 27th July, 2020 as a welfare Package to the people. A gesture many have described as historic, commendable, philanthropic and worth emulation.

This year's El-Edir Kabir ceremony will be remembered in the state in many ways, because it marks the sharing of God's blessings to the people of Zamfara State for the relative peace they have enjoyed since Dr. Bello Matawalle became the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, and the participant in the ordinance of Allah injunction to all Faithful in Islam, and it will also be remembered that for the first time, a noble gesture from a state government to his people.

In the past, people give to the Governor as their own way of showing gratitude which was targeted at winning Government’s favour and trust. His Excellency Dr. Hello Matawalle (MON) has thus used this year’s forthcoming celebration to preach a new understanding, an understanding that implies that the Governor should be the one to give.

The Governor we hear, has used this donation to show the people that he is a good father who cares for his children, he has shown that there is no age limit when it comes to a Father supporting his children.

The people in Zamfara state we also hear, have seen this gesture of the Governor, as a reminder of the work of God which is always there for everyone to reach out to.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
