 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. PDP Inaugurates Edo Governorship National Campaign Council Tuesday...Members To Join By Zoom
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will, on Tuesday, inaugurate its National Campaign Council for the Edo state governorship election with the larger members of the committee participating on Zoom.
This is in compliance with COVID-19 protocol on social and physical distancing at public gathering.
However, the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and the Secretary of the Campaign Council will be physically present for the event slated for Tuesday at 1:00pm alongside the National Chairman of our party, the governors of our party, members of the National Working Committee (NWC) as well as Board of Trustees (BOT) members who are also members of the campaign council and are available in Abuja.
Also, the members of the Campaign Council, who are currently in Abuja, are also expected at the venue of the inauguration.
Members of the campaign council, who will not physically participate at the inauguration, are directed to register in advance for participation via Zoom by clicking on the link that has been communicated to them accordingly.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
