 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. POLICE NAB ANOTHER SUSPECT FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFILING A MINOR.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     On the 13/7/2020 following a tip off, Police operatives attached CPS Awka arrested one Sunday Eyim 'm' aged 31 years of Oruana village Amawbia in Awka South LGA of Anambra State.
Suspect had on the 11/7/2020 allegedly defiled a 4 years old girl in his room.Scene was visited by police detectives and victim taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed..
Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal investigation Department,Awka for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
Consequently,members of the Public particularly parents/guardians are enjoined to be watchful and caution their children against strangers and also encourage them to report any person making sexual advance or harassment on them to enable the parent take a proactive measure before it becomes intractable.
The public should also be security conscious at all times and always report suspicious rape cases in their neighborhood to the nearest Police stations for prompt action.
