 Mohbad's DNA case adjourned to November 16 as family raises concerns over testing process The court hearing on the DNA case involving late singer Mohbad has been adjourned to November 16, 2026, as a family seeking to join the suit raises concerns about the testing process. In an update on the case, a representative of the party seeking to join the proceedings said a new court-appointed officer had been assigned to address their concerns about the proposed DNA test. The representative expressed reservations about the centre expected to handle the process, particularly the role of its director, who he said had also been involved in an earlier DNA-related request. He questioned whether the centre would conduct the test or merely collect samples before sending them to another laboratory. He said they wanted clarity on where the samples would be taken, how they would be collected and handled, and how long it would take to transfer them to the testing facility. POLICE NAB ANOTHER SUSPECT FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFILING A MINOR.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     On the 13/7/2020 following a tip off, Police operatives attached CPS Awka arrested one Sunday Eyim 'm' aged 31 years of Oruana village Amawbia in Awka South LGA of Anambra State.
Suspect had on the 11/7/2020 allegedly defiled a 4 years old girl in his room.Scene was visited by police detectives and victim taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed..
Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police *CP John B.Abang,fdc* has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal investigation Department,Awka for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
Consequently,members of the Public particularly parents/guardians are enjoined to be watchful and caution their children against strangers and also encourage them to report any person making sexual advance or harassment on them to enable the parent take a proactive measure before it becomes intractable.
The public should also be security conscious at all times and always report suspicious rape cases in their neighborhood to the nearest Police stations for prompt action.
