 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.      ‪Magu detained after Ayo Salami led committee finished interrogating him yesterday at 10pm. Some of the allegations against him:
1. Discrepancies in recovered funds.
2. Leaking reports to the media before going to Court.
3. Sale of seized assets to cronies, associates and friends.
4. Missing N35 billion.
5. Not providing enough evidences for the extradition of Diezani Alison-Madueke.
6. Ignoring court order to unfreeze a N7 billion judgment in favour of a suspect.
 Though The DSS issued out a press release yesterday that he was not detained.
MAGU, NOT ARRESTED BY DSS
The Department of State Services (DSS) wishes to inform the public that it did not arrest Ibrahim MAGU, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as has been reported by sections of the media. The Service, has since, today, 6th July, 2020, been inundated with enquiries over the alleged arrest.
