 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award. A MAN DROWNED IN A POOL, IN A GUEST HOUSE IN ONITSHA AFTER HE DRANK AND JUMPED INTO THE DEEPEST PART OF THE POOL.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On the 15/8/2020 at about 8:30pm, there was a report at Central Police Station Onitsha that one Izuchukwu Achusim 'm' aged 42 years of NO,35 Guest house street ,fegge went to Lotus Garden hotel in Onitsha with his girl friend to Swim inside the swimming pool.

However,victim who was said to be drunk jumped into the deepest part of the pool and got drowned.The hotel manager and other guests pulled the victim out and rushed him to waterside hospital Onitsha for medical attention but he was later certified death by a medical Doctor on duty.

Scene was visited by Police detectives and corpse photographed and deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile,case is under investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.The Command enjoin the public who lacked swimming skills to always take precautionary measures by using life jackets provided at the swimming pool in order to avert similar ugly incidents please.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
