 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. ANAMBRA FIRST LADY DONATES FULLY-FURNISHED BUNGALOW TO A WIDOW IN OZUBULU.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, today, August 19, 2020, through her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, handed over the keys to a fully-furnished bungalow to Mrs Eucharia Nwakibie, a widow from Isieke Village, Akwa, Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The beneficiary, Mrs Nwakibie, lost her husband in 2012, and was forced to live in her father's house afterwards due to accommodation difficulties, with seven of her children, two of whom had died in the challenging periods.

The newly-constructed bungalow comes with a borehole that would serve the beneficiary and her community and a standby power set that would power the building as well as the water.

The house is also equipped with a set of furniture, forty-inch LED television, standing fan, refrigerator, mattress and other basic living amenities.

Mrs Obiano has so far built a total of twenty seven bungalows for widows and less privileged women since CAFE, her NGO, was registered as a charity in August 2014.More photos below.
