 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.     The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Governor Bello Matawale has declared total faith in the ability and capacity of the nigerian army, to protect the territorial geography and people of Nigeria.


The Governor gave this assurance after he visited the Special Army Super Camp 4 Faskari in Katsina State, where he was a special guest of honour at the command post for 'Exercise Sahel Sanity.'


What I witnessed here is a testimony to the capacity of the leadership of @HQNigerianArmy to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty." The digital savvy Governor, wrote on his Twitter handle.


Governor Bello Matawale was given the honour of inspecting a special guards of honour parade and he added that he is indeed delighted.


Governor Bello Matawalle Maradun wrote that he made the visit to the camp in Katsina states in orderoto motivate the Nigerian army troop, currently battling the Boko Haram insurgency in North East Nigeria.More photos below.
