 Alleged Defilement: Ogun Drops Charges Against School Proprietor, Cites Lack of Evidence …decries social media incitement against the accused, govt The Ogun State Government has decided not to press charges against the proprietor of Perfect Life School, Igode-Remo, Mr. Ashafa Samson Adelaja, over allegations of defilement. According to the state Ministry of Justice, following its findings after a thorough investigation of the allegations against Adelaja, the State Government, on Thursday, informed the Chief Magistrate sitting in the Sagamu Magisterial District that it would not be bringing any charges against him. Accordingly, Mr. Ashafa was unconditionally released from prison custody, according to a statement issued by the ministry.      *Suspect admitted his offence and blames it on peer group influence*
On the 4/8/2020 following a tip off ,Police detectives attached to B' Division Awka arrested one Obimeze Maduabuchi Augustine 'm' aged 21years of Ofianta Village Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA but resides at Ejeagwu Estate Awka.
2. Suspect allegedly had carnal knowledge against the order of nature with two Small boys of 5 and 7 years on different occasions.
3. Suspect has equally made a voluntary confessional statement to the police and blamed his act on peer group influence.
4. Meanwhile,scene of crime was visited by Police detectives and the two victims ,all boys were taken to the hospital for medical examination.
5. Consequently,the Commissioner of Police *CP John B. Abang,fdc* has ordered for immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal investigation Department(CID)for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution,please.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
