 Two APC aspirants withdraw from Anambra Gov primary election Ahead of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra scheduled for tomorrow, two of the aspirants have withdrawn from the race Sir Paul Chukwuma from Umueri, Anambra North and Chukwuma Umeoji from Aguata withdrew from contest on Friday. Chukwuma, who was one of the leading contenders for the APC ticket, proceeded to resign from the party He told party members that he will keep supporting President Bola Tinubu in the Renewed Hope Agenda in repositioning Anambra, despite leaving the party According to him: ā€ Mr President is not the problem of APC, but some of the unprogressive elements who donā€™t want the party to move forward. ā€œIā€™ve resigned from the party by tendering my letter to the ward chairman of the party. It's a testimony and I can't keep alone to myself.. it was around 5am we were sleeping and what we heard was gbuuuuuaaa! We jumped up as My daughter started crying seriously, fear grabbed me I was thinking what's the sound about so her father carried her up she kept crying, what we saw on the bed and floor was blood everywhere we checked and saw my daughter's hand bleeding profusely šŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ˜­ it was a GUNSHOTS ooo šŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ˜­ it shot in her palm and penetrated from the back.... Hmmmm! Till now we didn't know where the bullet came from, we checked the ceiling, the wall and glasses no penetration anywhere. I laughed at the devil and his agents for his evil arrow have failed. Ah God! What if it's my daughter's head or chest the bullet hits what would have been my story now! And as this was happening my phone went off it was at the hospital we rushed her to I begged a nurse her phone to get a snap of it. God I know it's uU! I will forever serve u Lord!  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. ā€œThe Appellant was set up.
