 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. THREE FEARED DEAD AS IPOB MEMBERS AND SECURITY AGENTS CLASHED IN ENUGU.{PHOTOS}.

     A clash between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and operatives of the Department of State Security DSS has left at least three persons dead and several others injured at Emene, Enugu state today August 23.

According to reports, trouble started at about 7:00am when some policemen invaded Community Secondary School in Emene where members of the group were meeting to disperse and arrest them. The attempt was resisted, with the IPOB members reportedly overpowering the security operatives.

In a swift reaction, a large reinforcement of security agents was called and over a dozen patrol vans loaded with armed policemen, army, and DSS personnel arrived at the scene and faced the Biafran agitators.

The number of casualties is yet unknown.More photos below.
