A FLORIDA SEA TOW CAPTAIN SAVED A MAN FROM A BURNING SHIP ONLY TO BE SHOVED OVERBOARD AND HAVE HIS BOAT STOLEN.(PHOTO)

 No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

IKORODU ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: LASG ANNOUNCES PARTIAL CLOSURE OF KETU BRT LANE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 

     As part of the ongoing reconstruction of Ikorodu Road, (Mile 12 - Ketu), the Lagos State Government has announced that there will be partial closure of a section of the BRT Lane at Ketu for 14 working days, effective from Monday, September 14, 2020.

In a statement issued today by the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the partial closure is to allow the contractor handling the project to commence construction of additional Relief Culverts across the road at Ketu Bus Stop from Monday 14th of September, 2020.
He explained that the BRT buses that operate on the Ketu axis will be diverted to the service lane from Oluwalogbon Street Junction during the construction period, adding that the personnel of Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, would be available to direct traffic and ensure the free flow of vehicular movements.
Oladeinde, therefore, solicited for the cooperation and support of the BRT buses that ply the corridor, stressing that the project is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the ever-busy road to achieve objectives of the government's traffic management and transportation policy.
