LAI MOHAMMED DEFENDS HIS MINISTRY'S BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2021 TODAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Honorable Minister of Information & Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed appears before House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values to defend the Ministry's Year 2021 Annual Budget.

“We on this side of the divide believe that this budgetary regime will contribute immensely to the devt. of our great country if implementation is done with due diligence”
“Although in response to my consistent request for better funding of this ministry and related agencies, there’s an improvement in the amount proposed for her and her agencies in the budget when compared with previous ones”
“Meanwhile, the lack of enough financial allocation that is seriously hampering their performances still requires improvement. In fact, budget of Information ministries in states like Akwa-Ibom and Rivers is far more than what the whole country is proposing for the Federal Ministry of Information & Culture inspite of very high responsibilities attached therein. Hence the need for more and better funding is strongly advocated for us to support the fact that information is power as a wise saying goes”
-Chairman House C’tee on Nat’l Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun during the 2021 Budget Defence of the Ministry at the National Assembly
