 CBN releases licensed Deposit Money Banks By Samuel Oamen The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a comprehensive list of 44 licensed Deposit Money Banks operating within the country. The apex bank made this public in a post on its official website on Tuesday. According to CBN, seven banks, including Zenith Bank, Access Bank, First Bank, First City Monument Bank, United Bank of Africa, Fidelity, and Guaranty Trust Bank, have Commercial Banking licenses with international authorisation as of April 26, 2024. Also, fifteen banks have commercial banking licenses with National Authorisation. Four banks have commercial banking licenses with regional authorisation and four non-interest banks have national authorisation. The bank said the country has six merchant banks licensed with national authorization. It stated that financial holding companies increased to seven. OGUN JUDICIAL PANEL OF INVESTIGATION RECEIVES 20 PETITIONS IN 2 WEEKS.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 

No fewer than 20 petitions have been received by the Ogun Judicial Panel of Investigation set up to investigate complaints and petitions of victims of police brutality and abuse of human rights by security operatives in Ogun State within two weeks of its inauguration.
The Chairman of the Panel, Hon. Justice Solomon Olugbemi (Rtd) who made this known after a meeting with the Panel members said, "we have received 20 petitions already and sitting starts immediately. The sittings would be transparent and open. Media stations are invited to witness and cover the sittings",
Justice Olugbemi revealed that the maiden sitting of the Panel would hold on Thursday, 5th November, 2020 adding that the panel sitting days would be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting by 10am at the Magistrate Court 1, Isabo, Abeokuta.
The Chairman called on members of the public who have complaints to send in their petitions to the Secretary of the Panel or send online to endsarsjudicialpanel@ogunstate.gov.ng assuring that justice would be delivered.
