OUR EMPATHY & SYMPATHY TO THE HEROS AND HEROINES OF THE #ENDSARS DEBACLE:-IGBO SPEAKING COMMUNITY,LAGOS STATE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On behalf of the entire NDIGBO, in Lagos state, under the auspice of Igbo Speaking Community, I, grief with the families of the casaulties of the reprehensible killings at LEKKI tollgate and all other victims of the unfortunate spill over, of the senseless attack on armless youths, who were protesting the incontrovertible brutality and criminalities of the special anti robbery squad(SARS), of the Nigeria police force, which has become endemic in our everyday life and has sent many citizens, to their untimely deaths, without redress from the police hierarchy.
On this premise, let me also, condemn in its entirety, the senseless act of ARSONS and LOOTINGS, being perpetrated by hooligans and urchins, on both the public and private properties, knowing very well, the impact of such banditry send brigandages, on the public patrimony and indeed, the overstretched individual tilts, which have been grossly hampered by the effects of the covid-19 pandemic & the global economic recessions.
At this juncture, i commend the ebullient & courageous intervention of the governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who prior, identified with the pains of the youths and when the chips, were down, rose to the occasion and did what was expected of him, through his visitations to all the hospitals treating the victims and his prompt promise, to pay compensations, to the affected victims.
Sir, NDIGBO in Lagos state, solidarities with your government and all that it stands for, especially, at this needful moment, you can always count on us.
I therefore, call on all and sundry, to show restraints and patriotism, at this trial moment of our nascent democracy, as we shall definitely, come out of this impasse and political quagmire, stronger.
We should therefore, exhibit synergy and fraternal comprehension, in the face of the challenging moment and should never be compromised on the altar of ethnicity or religious divide, as the recent #ENDSARS DEBACLE, has shown that together, we can!, therefore do not be deceived by folks who feast on deployment of divisiveness amongst us, for their selfish interests..
On this note, i call on all Igbos in Lagos state, to embrace moderations in all their utterances and to cooperate with the government of Lagos state and adhere strictly to all their directives, so as to achieve the desired peace against the pervading anarchy.
God bless the Nigerian youths!
God bless Lagos state!!
God bless Nigeria!!!.
From,
Chief(Sir) Sunday Cyril Eze.
President General, Igbo speaking community, Lagos state.
