 LAGOS-IBADAN  KARA BRIDGE ACCIDENT: NO CASUALTY AS  CONTAINER TRUCK CRASHES INTO SIX VEHICLES The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed that no life was lost and no one susttained injury when a 40-foot container truck crashed into six other vehicles at Kara Bridge, inward OPIC, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tuesday morning.  The statement says the container truck, which had no registration number, reportedly developed a mechanical fault while in motion, lost control and rammed into the other vehicles. It notes seven vehicles were involved in the crash but the LASEMA’s LRT Tiger Squad, stationed at C3, responded alongside police who moved quickly to manage the scene to prevent another accident. Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee, who transformed the South Korean firm into a global tech titan, has died at the age of 78, the company said. Under Mr Lee's leadership, Samsung rose to become the world's largest producer of smartphones and memory chips.
Known for a reclusive lifestyle, Lee was left bedridden by a heart attack in 2014. Little was revealed about his condition, leaving him shrouded in mystery even in his final days.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kun-hee Lee, chairman of Samsung Electronics,” said a company statement.

“Chairman Lee passed away on October 25 with his family, including vice-chairman Jay Y Lee, by his side … His legacy will be everlasting.”.
