 SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT: LAGOS UNVEILS ZEN ARCHERY ARENA As part of  Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's commitment to promoting inclusion, the Lagos State Sports Commission, in collaboration with Zen Archery recently unveiled the Lagos Zen Archery Arena at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere. Speaking at the unveiling, the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, said the Lagos Zen Archery Arena is a testament to the present administration’s commitment to advancing, supporting, and promoting mass participation in sports. He said "This facility provides opportunities for different categories of archers to have a befitting space to practice and develop their talents in archery. This attests to possibilities in sports development and to give diversity and inclusivity in sports not just in Lagos but in Nigeria at large". EFCC RECEIVES FOUR SUSPECTED OIL THIEVES FROM NAVY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 received four suspected oil thieves from the Nigeria Navy.
The suspects: Ebenezer Afonka( captain); Bernard Umor (engineer), Kingsley Monday, and Ishmael Willy were handed over to the Commission alongside a vessel: MV Captain Samuel.
Commander S. G Muhammed, who handed over the suspects and the vessel, said they were arrested on October 24, 2020 by Nigeria Navy Ship (NNS Pathfinder), for suspected involvement in illegal oil bunkering. At the time of arrest, the vessel was laden with an unspecified quantity of substance suspected to be illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO/diesel).
Representative of the Head, Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC, and Head, Counter Terrorism and General Investigation (CTGI), Tasui Abubakar, who received the suspects and the vessel on behalf of the Commission, assured the Navy that justice will be served on the matter.
Investigation of the suspects has already begun and they will be charged to court upon conclusion.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
