The stage is set for the Imo state government launch of the Shared Prosperity Government Education Support Scheme to both primary school pupils and secondary school students in the state.
This scheme is the brainchild of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Hon. Oparaji Franklyn who overtime has shown capacity and dedication to duty especially in reaching out to Imo students and of course the first of its kind from the bureau of Student’s Affairs. This time around Hon. Oparaji has decided to top the chart by the launch of the education support scheme wherein young pupils and students will receive free exercise books, school bags and other educational materials from the government. Indeed the shared prosperity is getting to our pupils and students.
Truth be told that Gov. Hope Uzodimma has continued to promote the cause of education in the state through some of his policies and just of recent the ban on all forms of levies and dues in our schools and now the launch of the education support scheme through the bureau of Student’s Affairs.
Hon. Oparaji Franklyn is therefore calling on all parents, guardians, headmasters, headmistress and Principals to avail their children, wards, pupils and students respectively the opportunity to partake in this education support scheme on Monday, 30th of November, 2020 at Heroes Square by 10am prompt.
It is expected that Gov. Hope Uzodimma, The Deputy Governor, Prof. Placid Njoku, Hon. Commissioner for Education, Prof. B.T.O Ikegwuoha, amongst many other government appointees will grace the occasion all for the love of imo pupils and students.
We are therefore hopeful that the bureau of Student’s Affairs under the dogged leadership of Hon. Oparaji Franklyn through the support of Gov. Hope Uzodimma will continue to prioritize the welfare of imo pupils and students as this is the tip of an iceberg of what is to come.
