 Group demands declaration of Aba North Assembly seat vacant, threatens protest A group known as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youth Groups has mandated the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emereuwa to declare the Aba North seat vacant in seven days. The Aba North seat has been a subject of controversy since November 27, 2023, when the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos sacked Destiny Nwagwu of LP and declared Aaron Uzodike of the PDP, the duly elected member to represent Aba North. However, the seat has remained unoccupied since November 2023, as Uzodike of PDP has not been inaugurated by the Speaker, despite his several appeals. A fresh controversy erupted Friday, as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youths Groups, asked the Speaker to declare the seat vacant within seven days or expect a city-wide protest in Aba. RECOVERY OF A SNATCHED VEHICLE BY THE COMMAND RAPID RESPONSE SQUAD.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On 12/11/2020 at about 8:30pm, The Command Rapid Response Tean (RRS) while on routine patrol along Owerri road Onitsha received a distress call that three armed men on tricycle snatched at gunpoint a Toyota Corolla car with Reg ABC 690 AR, at about 8:pm same day. The team immediately swung into action, gave the suspects a hot chase, forcing them abandon the snatched vehicle in Oba and escaped.
The vehicle was recovered and effort is being intensified to apprehebd the fleeing suspects in order to bring them to justice.
It would be recalled that the Command Rapid Response Squad was unveiled yesterday 12/11/2020 by His Excelency Governor Willie Obiano at the State Police Command headquarters Awka with the aim of responding to distress calls on heinous crimes and patrolling flashpoints in Anambra State in order to ensure safety and security before, during and after the Christmas and New year Celebrations.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
