 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. WOMAN WHO ACCUSED SARS OFFICERS OF TORTURING HER FOR 22 DAYS IS ALLEGED KIDNAP KINGPIN EVANS' SISTER.{PHOTO}.

 

Mrs. Nzube-Obi Obiechina, the teacher who said that she lost her two-month pregnancy in 2017 after allegedly being tortured and detained for 22 days by the police, is reportedly the sister of alleged kidnap kingpin Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike alias Evans.
Appearing before the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters on October 31, the teacher who responded to a question by Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) counsel Mr. Nosa Uhumwamgho disclosed that she has neither seen nor been in touch with her brother in ages, before his arrest on June 10, 2017.
She also accused the police of unlawfully arresting, assaulting and detaining her and her husband without trial.
The Nation reported that Mrs. Obiechina and her husband Ogechukwu Obiechina are now seeking the enforcement of the N2million awarded them by the Federal High Court in Lagos against the police, following their ordeal.
