'
Congrats
to me as i received an award of Legal Personality of the Year @ Prestige Excellence Award & Lecture 2020 yesterday night! Presented on behalf of Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu-Olu by his representative, Gboyega Akosile, his Chief Press Secretary who suddenly recognised me on my legal struggle over Alaba Rago Market to bring a new leader & now happened to be first Hausa to be Baba Oja in South West.
My 11th award in 11 years of active law practice out of 12 awards nominations from Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Kaduna State. The 4th award from media industry. My style of activism in private without making noise in public, organizations & individuals still find me out of recommendations from some we had helped through free legal advice & services or those monitoring my little efforts for humanity; going through my profile; my publications or media interviews I didn't lobby for. Thank you, Lord!'
While giving his appreciation speech, he thanked the organiser who didn't know him, let alone meeting him in 2018 but published his profile in his magazine and this year honouring him again after last year award. He thanked the representative of the Governor of Lagos, on their patience in receiving their petitions just like other former executive Governors particularly ensuring his legal battle in Alaba Rago Market in bringing a new leader, Alhaji Ibrahim Malami Ali who now happened to be the Baba Oja 1 of Okokomaiko was not a waste of time. He said his style of activism and rendering free legal advice and services differ as he preferred it to be in private. He once again appreciated the organiser of the award event.
