 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. FIRE INCIDENT RAZED DOWN SEVEN SHOPS AT UFUMA JUNCTION IN ORUMBA NORTH LGA OF ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

On the 6/12/2020, there was a report of fire incident at Ufuma junction in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.
The fire incident which allegedly started around 1:20am razed down completely Seven (7) lockup shops destroying properties worth millions of Naira.
Meanwhile,police operatives attached to Ajali Division visited the scene and cordoned off the area to prevent hoodlums from looting while the fire was put off by local volunteers.No loss of life and value of property destroyed is yet to be determined.Case under investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident please.
