 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. NAF: RESCUE OF ABDUCTED STUDENTS OF GSSS KANKARA, KATSINA STATE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Three hundred and forty four boys abducted from Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Kankara, Katsina State on 11 December 2020 were safely returned to the Katsina State Government House this morning, escorted by a combined team of personnel from various security agencies with air cover provided by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
As from the early hours of 12 December 2020, the NAF deployed additional air assets, including additional Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft, to Katsina to provide persistent surveillance over identified areas of interest within Katsina and Zamfara States, whilst maintaining offensive air presence to deny the abductors freedom of action.
NAF Medical personnel were also part of the Team that provided immediate medical care to the boys after their release from the forest, while additional NAF Special Forces personnel were also deployed to provide support.More photos below.
