 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER ADAMU UWAR ARRESTED WHILE COLLECTING RANSOM IN PLATEAU.{PHOTOS}

Operations Safe Haven (OPSH) has arrested a suspected kidnap kingpin, Adamu Uwar, who allegedly abducted a woman in Plateau state.
The Commander of the OPSH, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, who paraded the suspects alongside others on Friday, said Uwar had lured one Zuwaria Mohammed, to Guratop in Rayfield area of Jos North under the pretence that he had some goods to sell to her.
When she arrived, he held her captive, contacted her husband, Rabiu Mohammed and demanded a ransom of 2 million naira from for her release.
The victim's husband reported the matter to OPSH and was advised to agree to pay the ransom.
"The husband reported to the OPSH and was advised to agree to pay the ransom and a collection point was agreed. Own troops stormed the location, arrested the abductor and rescued the victim." he explained.
The OPSH added that the kidnapper had been arrested on two occasions in the past and is on the wanted list of the Police Anti Kidnapping Squad.
