 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. PDP Congratulates Wike on Award of Silverbird Extraordinary Man of the Year
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulates Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, on his conferment with the coveted Silverbird Extraordinary Personality of the Year Award.
The party describes the award as well-deserving, given Governor Wike's extraordinary performance in governance, particularly his unprecedented massive infrastructural development in his state as well as the empowerment of the people, in line with the manifesto of our great party, the PDP.
Governor Wike has continued to distinguished himself as an excellent administrator as local government chairman, chief of staff of Rivers State, minister of the Federal Republic and now as governor of Rivers state, where his performance has earned him the sobriquet of "Mr. Project".
Moreover, Governor Wike's assertions on national issues, in addition to his nationalist gestures, stand him out as a patriot and one of the leading lights of our nation at this critical time.
The PDP celebrates Governor Wike on this honor of Silverbird Man of the Year and urges him to continue in his selfless service for which he is recognized and acclaimed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
