 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. PDP Congratulates Wike on Award of Silverbird Extraordinary Man of the Year
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulates Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, on his conferment with the coveted Silverbird Extraordinary Personality of the Year Award.
The party describes the award as well-deserving, given Governor Wike's extraordinary performance in governance, particularly his unprecedented massive infrastructural development in his state as well as the empowerment of the people, in line with the manifesto of our great party, the PDP.
Governor Wike has continued to distinguished himself as an excellent administrator as local government chairman, chief of staff of Rivers State, minister of the Federal Republic and now as governor of Rivers state, where his performance has earned him the sobriquet of "Mr. Project".
Moreover, Governor Wike's assertions on national issues, in addition to his nationalist gestures, stand him out as a patriot and one of the leading lights of our nation at this critical time.
The PDP celebrates Governor Wike on this honor of Silverbird Man of the Year and urges him to continue in his selfless service for which he is recognized and acclaimed.
