Reps Criticize Customs, Immigration Chiefs for Snubbing Investigative Hearing The House of Representatives Committee on Customs and Excise expressed disappointment on Monday over the absence of key government agency heads at an investigative hearing. Lawmakers cited Section 88 of the Constitution, which empowers parliament to summon individuals to provide explanations, to criticize the non-attendance. The hearing focused on the concession of the e-Customs project to the Trade Modernisation Project (TMP) and the role of Webb Fontaine in the e-Customs framework. The session also addressed the modernization of Nigeriaās Customs Service and the need to employ advanced technology for border security and migration management.
