 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. PDP Disowns Fake Townhall Meeting, Alerts Nigerians
The attention of our great party has been drawn to fliers, advertisements and publications by certain faceless individuals, posturing to have the approval and backing of our party to invite Nigerians to a purported 'Generation Next in PDP' Townhall meeting.
The makers of the said advertisement even went ahead to list some leaders and members of our party, including Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Aminu Bello Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the Deputy National Chairman, North of the PDP, Senator Suleiman Nazif among others, as speakers in the supposed event, in a bid to bestow a semblance of legitimacy to the scheme.
For the avoidance of doubt, the PDP states in an unequivocal term, that it did not authorize nor is it in any way involved or connected with the event or these organizers.
The PDP therefore alerts the public, particularly our members and teeming supporters to completely disregard the said event as it has nothing to do with our party.
