 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. PDP Disowns Fake Townhall Meeting, Alerts Nigerians
The attention of our great party has been drawn to fliers, advertisements and publications by certain faceless individuals, posturing to have the approval and backing of our party to invite Nigerians to a purported 'Generation Next in PDP' Townhall meeting.
The makers of the said advertisement even went ahead to list some leaders and members of our party, including Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Aminu Bello Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the Deputy National Chairman, North of the PDP, Senator Suleiman Nazif among others, as speakers in the supposed event, in a bid to bestow a semblance of legitimacy to the scheme.
For the avoidance of doubt, the PDP states in an unequivocal term, that it did not authorize nor is it in any way involved or connected with the event or these organizers.
The PDP therefore alerts the public, particularly our members and teeming supporters to completely disregard the said event as it has nothing to do with our party.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
