 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. PDP Disowns Fake Townhall Meeting, Alerts Nigerians
The attention of our great party has been drawn to fliers, advertisements and publications by certain faceless individuals, posturing to have the approval and backing of our party to invite Nigerians to a purported 'Generation Next in PDP' Townhall meeting.
The makers of the said advertisement even went ahead to list some leaders and members of our party, including Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Aminu Bello Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the Deputy National Chairman, North of the PDP, Senator Suleiman Nazif among others, as speakers in the supposed event, in a bid to bestow a semblance of legitimacy to the scheme.
For the avoidance of doubt, the PDP states in an unequivocal term, that it did not authorize nor is it in any way involved or connected with the event or these organizers.
The PDP therefore alerts the public, particularly our members and teeming supporters to completely disregard the said event as it has nothing to do with our party.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
