 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. SCHOLARSHIP: GOV. ZULUM PAYS 75 BORNO LAW STUDENTS WITH N22.5M.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has approved and released N22,500,000 for payment of scholarship to 75 citizens of Borno State in law schools.
Commissioner for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallambe who announced this in a statement on Monday,
The Commissioner disclosed that payments to students have already began with each been paid N300,000.
Recalled, Governor Zulum had in January approved the release of N624m been paid to over 23,776 indigens of Borno in 49 tertiary institution across the country.
Also in in January, Governor Zulum approved financial support to resident doctors who are indigens of Borno state found in different parts of Nigeria.
