 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENCY DISCLAIMS 2027 CAMPAIGN BILLBOARDS NATIONWIDE   The Presidency has observed, with dismay, the increasing number of billboards in some cities promoting the 2027 campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. Worth noting is that some of these billboards with pictures of the President and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, emblazoned on them are springing up in Abuja and Kano in particular. While President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima greatly appreciate their teeming and loyal supporters across the country for their enthusiasm and continuing support, the two leaders do not support any campaign that breaches the laws of the land. The electoral law that guides the conduct of elections and political campaigns forbids any form of campaign for the 2027 general elections. ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA CONDOLES FAMILY OF 19-YEAR OLD RICHARD OKOROGHEYE,A NIGERIAN FOUND DEAD IN A POND IN UK.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

ABUJA, APRIL 8, 2021 Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has described the death  of 19- year old Richard Okorogheye in London as very sad and painful.

In a condolence message, Dabiri-Erewa said the circumstances of Richard's sudden disappearance and eventual death was very disturbing and heartbreaking.

The NIDCOM boss consoled with Richard's parents, family and friends and prayed unto God to grant Richard eternal rest and console the family in the best form.

Richard Okorogheye, who had been declared missing since March 22, was found dead by Police authorities in UK on Wednesday in a pond in Essex.

The 19-year-old, who had sickle cell disease, had not been seen by his family since 22 March when he left their home in Ladbroke Grove

A post-mortem found no evidence of physical trauma or assault while the cause of death is pending as further  investigations are carried out.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
