 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NAPTIP: OFFICIAL LAUNCH AND HANDOVER CEREMONY OF THE BLUE BUS UNDER THE PREVENTION OF TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Earlier today, the official launch and handover ceremony of the Blue Bus under the Prevention of trafficking in persons through a travelling awareness-raising exposition of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and NAPTIP took place in Lagos State.
In attendance were, IOM Chief of mission, Franz Celetine, Consul General of Switzerland in Lagos Thomas Schneider, Migration Adviser, Swiss Embassy, Manuel Muhlbach, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim DG NAPTIP represented by Director Legal, Hassan Tahir.
The Blue Bus is a one-stop shop where vulnerable migrants, including community members, can get information on risks associated with trafficking in persons, where to report cases, and on-spot counselling services.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
