 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. VP. OSINBAJO TO FLAG-OFF OGUN DIGITAL ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECT, THURSDAY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Barring any last minute change in plans, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will on Thursday join Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to flag off a digital empowerment programme in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Tagged 'Ogun State Digital Economic Empowerment Project', it is a plan of the State Government, being organised by the Bureau of Information Technology in conjunction with 21st Century Technologies.
In a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin, he quoted the Director, Information Technology in the Bureau, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunte as saying that the event will hold at Ogun Tech-Hub Kobape Road, Abeokuta at 11am on Thursday.
According to the release, the project is aimed at providing internet accessibility to indigenes and residents of the state and its environs in order to enhance lives and businesses of the people.
The release further stated that other special guests such as the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; Ministers, Stakeholders, Royal Fathers will grace the occasion.
It added that the project would enable the people to meet up with the best global practices in the present digital era.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
