 PRESS RELEASE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO NATIONAL UNITY AND FAIR REPRESENTATION IN APPOINTMENTS The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) wishes to address recent insinuations circulating, particularly on social media, regarding the composition of Federal appointments. The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered). GOV. MAKINDE INSPECTS RECONSTRUCTION OF AIRPORT AJIA IFE ROAD,VISITS AJIA HOSPITAL.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE

This afternoon, we inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the 21km Airport-Ajia-New Ife Express Road with a spur to Amuloko. We'll be meeting with FAAN to resolve all issues relating to the portion of the road around the airport, to ensure that the road is completed on schedule.
We also visited Ajia Maternity Centre to inspect the ongoing upgrade. I expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of the work. However, we were assured that there would be improvements going forward.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
