 Kwara Police Arrest Singer Portable for Alleged Criminal Defamation The Kwara State Police Command has arrested popular singer Habeeb Okikilola Badmus, widely known as Portable, following a petition filed by his senior colleague, Okunola Saheed, aka Osupa. In a statement issued on Sunday, the commandā€™s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, revealed that the petition accuses Portable of serious offenses, including criminal defamation, threat to life, incitement, character assassination, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and the use of abusive and insulting language. The statement read, ā€œGiven the gravity of these allegations and the supporting evidence, the Command obtained an arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin. On Saturday, April 13, 2025, operatives executed the warrant in Abeokuta, Ogun State, apprehending the suspect at approximately 19:25 hrs.ā€ Portable was immediately brought to Ilorin for further investigation.
