 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila presenting Letters of appointment to the new Chief Complaints Commissioner of the Federation, Hon. Bimbo Ayo-Yusuf and other Commissioners, Hon. Afeez Odunewu for Lagos State Alhaji Folawiyo Bello for Oyo State and Mrs Emelda Okoli for Anambra state in Abuja on Wednesday 26/5/21
The presentation was witnessed in Abuja by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) who expressed joy that the Public Complaints Commission, a federal government agency of over 45 years is having a Chief Executive of Yoruba extraction for the first time since creation.
Oba Ogunwusi also commended Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila for his passion for nation building and knack for excellence.
37 new Commissioners of the PCC were appointed by the National Assembly for all the 36 States and the FCT.More photos below.
