 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. 82 DIVISION LAUDS SEEPCO SUPPORT FOR TRAINING.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army Major General Taoreed Lagbaja has lauded the support of Sterling-Oil Exploration and Energy Production Company Ltd (SEEPCO) to the Division's Training School. He made the commendation during a presentation ceremony of furnishing items donated to the school on Tuesday 22 June 2021 at Abakpa Cantonment Enugu.


The GOC represented by his Chief of Staff Brig Gen Greg Omorogbe expressed gratitude to the exploration company pledging to put the items into training use to enhance troops efficiency.


Some of the items presented included 140 pieces of mattresses and bed frames, 7 pieces of flat screen televisions and 120 pieces classroom set of chairs and tables. Others are 22 pieces of air conditioners, 8 HP Laserjets printers and 6 Comb printing machines.


The SEEPCO Vice President, Mr Sandeep Singh represented by the Security Coordinator Captain Charles Egbe (retired) while handing over the items said 82 Division has been key security component of SEEPCO. He added that such donation is part of community and social responsibility effort of the company to further cements existing relationship with its stakeholders.
