 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. ARMED BANDITS: GUNMEN ATTACKS AGAIN,KILLS FARMER IN KADARKO OF KEANA LGA OF NASARAWA STATE.{PHOTO}.

A farmer simply identified as Atso, has been murdered in cold blood while working on his farm at Nyamadaga, a community in Kadarko district of Keana Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. 


The farmer was killed by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen who invaded his farm yesterday morning, a villager narrated. 


According to the villager, the deceased was working on the farm alongside his wife and children who were however left unharmed by the invaders.  


He appealed to the government for more security presence in the area to safeguard lives and property.
