 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. COMPANY EXECUTIVE ARRAIGNED FOR N2.4M JOB SCAM IN ABUJA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Office, on Tuesday June 28, 2021 arraigned one Mahmood Bello Abubakar, Managing Director of A.M Bello Nigeria Limited before Justice Bello Kawu of the Federal High Court sitting in Kubwa, Abuja for allegedly obtaining N2.4million (Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Naira) from on Moses Okpara on the pretext of securing Federal Government jobs for his children and acquaintances.


The offence is contrary to section 1(1) (a) and punishable under section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.


The defendant pleaded ‘not guilty’ when the charge was read to him. Prosecution counsel, A.U. Ringim thereafter requested that the defendant be remanded at the Correctional Centre pending trial. The defendant’s counsel, G.E Ejekela however moved an oral bail application for his client which was refused by the court.


Justice Kawu adjourned the case till September 30, 2021 for commencement of trial.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
