 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. GOV. UZODIMMA COMMISERATES WITH IMO POLICE COMMAND+SET TO ESTABLISH AN INSURANCE POLICY FOR SECURITY OPERATIVES.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has revealed plans of establishing an insurance policy that will help boast the moral of security operatives serving in the State.
The Governor disclosed this when he paid a condolence visit to the Command on Tuesday, while expressing sadness over the murder of officers on duty by Unknown gunmen.
"Government will not let you do this work alone, we will support and supply all logistics and requirement needed cause we want our people to sleep with their two eyes closed.
We will bring up an insurance policy in the State for all police officers in the State which will benefit their relations, this is to boost their moral in service delivery". Uzodimma stated.
While emphasizing that the Police is the last hope of the common man, according to the Governor, " if the police is challenged the entire nation will be challenged", as he thanked President Muhamadu Buhari for his support during the weeks of insecurity crisis in Imo State.
Earlier in his address CP Aburu Yaro, Imo State Police Commissioner, poured encomiums on Gov. Uzodimma for demonstrating that he values the service delivery of Police officers in the State within the few weeks of security challenges, stressing that his condolence visit is the first of it's kind since 40 years establishment of the police command.
Aburu Yaro, used the occasion to call on Imolites to go about their businesses as normalcy has returned in the State, while urging them to always cooperate with men of the force on duty cause they are out to protect lives and properties in the Imo State.
Highpoint of the occasion was the signing of condolence register by Governor Hope Uzodinma, as he also donated security vans for effective policing of the State.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
