 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. LBSL DISCLAIMS ONLINE, FRAUDULENT VACANCY ADVERTS.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE

The Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL) has called on members of the public not to fall victim to a false online recruitment advertisement purportedly being circulated on behalf of the Agency.
According to a statement signed by the Managing Director/CEO of LBSL, Mr. Idowu Oguntona, the online advertisement did not emanate from LBSL, neither was it sponsored on behalf of the company by any Agency.
While urging members of the public to disregard such advertorial, he advised the citizenry to always verify the source or sources of employment vacancies before taking any action on them.
Oguntona emphasised that when LBSL decides to recruit staff, it will be duly publicised through all the State government channels and social media platforms, adding that the general public should be wary about online recruitments by faceless and dubious minded individuals, who are out to scam innocent individuals.
