TWO DROWNED IN DAMATURU EARLY MORNING DOWNPOUR The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has confirmed that two people drowned in Damaturu, the state capital, following an early morning downpour. The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Isa Haruna and 18-year-old Abba Kyari. According to SEMA, the tragic incidents occurred in the Malam Matari and Pompomari areas of Damaturu. The agency said its Search and Rescue Team, working in collaboration with the Yobe State Fire Service, responded promptly after receiving distress alerts. However, upon arrival at the affected locations, rescue officials found that both victims had already died. Their remains were evacuated and transported to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Yobe State Specialist Hospital, Damaturu. SEMA has urged residents, particularly those living in flood-prone communities, to exercise caution during heavy rainfall and to avoid attempting to cross flooded roads or drainage channels. AWKA: 5 SUSPECTED CULTISTS ARRESTED BY THE EZIOKA COMMUNITY SECURITY 'SCORPION SQUAD' ON THEIR WAY TO KILL A TARGET.{PHOTO}.

Although our correspondent could not have one ,one chat with the suspected cultists and assassins due the fact that our correspondent was not disposed; was  outside Awka, but According to Ezioka Community Security, the suspected cultists and assassins who are five in number  were on a mission to attack their target before they were arrested in their base ( a bush) inside Umudioka Village Awka.

The Ezioka Community Security(Scorpion Squad) has apprehended five boys who are suspected to be cultists.


According to a security source, the five men gang was plotting to launch attack at unknown group or person(s) before they were picked by the security.

 

The gang members were arrested inside Umudioka Village  Awka on intelligent gatherings.
