 A Cleveland Ohio man's selfless act saves baby. He entered a burning home 3 separate times to save an 11-month-old baby. 62-Year-old John Stickovich was headed to work on Monday when he came upon a scary scene.  Smoke and flames were pouring from a 2 story home. John noticed firefighters had not arrived on scene yet and a woman was sitting on the lawn holding a baby while waiting for firefighters.  John ran up to her and asked if she was alright and she immediately informed him that her 11-month-old baby was inside. That's when this 62-year-old man switched into hero mode. He ran to the side of the home and kicked in the door. However the flames and smoke were so intense he was driven back. Undaunted John ran to the back of the home and crawled in through an open door. The smoke was so heavy that he could not find the child, once again he retreated. IMO STATE GOVERNMENT PARTNERS WITH THE NIGERIAN NAVY TO ESTABLISH A NAVAL BASE IN OGUTA, IMO STATE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma today received a high powered 6-man delegation from the Nigerian Navy led by Rear Admiral Odogwu Ezekobe, the Chief of Policy and Plans, on a familiarization visit to the Governor on the proposed Naval Base to be situated at Osse Moto, Oguta LGA.


According to Governor Uzodimma “the recent events in the State have proven the need to strengthen security in the state to protect our lands and maritime boundaries and curb the criminal activities of oil bunkers and unknown gunmen at the Imo State waterways which is not just a State issue but a National sabotage, hence the need for the partnership”.


The Governor in his statement assured them of every necessary co-operation from the Government of Imo State.


Speaking earlier, Rear Admiral Odogwu Ezekobe, disclosed that the partnership can be traced to the good relationship of Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Zubairu. Rear Admiral Ezekobe stated that protection of lives and properties of Ndi Imo which is paramount to the Administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma, will be a good way to seal the friendship.


The Governor and his August visitors from the Nigerian Navy inspected the facilities and the waterways at Oguta. The Governor also visited the moribund Oguta Motel and the Oguta Lake and paid homage to the traditional rulers of Osse Moto, Oguta LGA.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours.
