 UK approves sweeping law to ban cigarette sales for future generations  The United Kingdom has taken a major step toward eliminating smoking among future generations after lawmakers approved sweeping legislation that bans the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. The measure, one of the most aggressive anti-tobacco efforts globally, ensures that today’s children will never be legally sold cigarettes. It also outlaws the sale and supply of herbal smoking products and cigarette papers to the same age group, while introducing a nationwide ban on snus, an oral tobacco product. The law establishes strict enforcement measures, including fines for retailers who fail to verify ages and harsher penalties for repeat violations, with courts given the authority to suspend businesses from selling tobacco or vaping products for up to a year. INDIAN ACTRESS 'SUREKHA SIKRI',PASSED AWAY TODAY AT THE AGE OF 75YEARS.{PHOTOS}.#RIP.

Indian television Actress 'Surekha Sikri' passed away today 16th of July 2021.
The popular actress appeared in many series including, Chasing my heart,Once a queen and King,Saloni,Young love and many others.
Sikri won three National Film Awards between 1988 and 2018 and starred in hit soap Balika Vadhu for eight years.  She had been ill for some time, having had two strokes in the past four years.
Sikri, who was born in New Delhi, won her National Film Awards for Tamas, Mammo and Badhaai Ho. 
 Film-maker Shyam Benegal, who worked with her on Mammo, told the Press Trust of India: "She was such a brilliant actor that whatever role you gave her she would own it. 
 "She played both sympathetic and non-sympathetic roles with elan. She was a top-class, highly competent actor."
She passed away at the age of 75years,May her soul rest in peace,Amen.
